A very warm welcome to West London Wine School - an independent wine education company. We run wine tasting and wine courses for people who enjoy wine and would like to learn more about it. No previous wine tasting experience is necessary. Wine tasting for everyone, right in the heart of West London - Fulham.
The wine courses and wine tastings focus on enjoying wine and learning more in a relaxed and informal setting, with friendly people. We help people enjoy wine that little drop more. If you know what you like and want to find out why, our courses provide the answer.
Our wine courses suit all levels of wine knowledge and experience, and we offer a range of courses for you to enjoy. Our 8 week wine course provides a great introduction to wine covering a wide range of topics in our World tour, the 4 week wine courses provide a deeper insight into a country or specific region, while our Sherry & Tapas evenings are a great way to explore the art of food and wine matching. Or try our one evening tastings, there are many to choose from, and as with all of our wine courses - no previous wine knowledge is required.
All our tastings & courses are also available as Gift Vouchers for that perfect Gift.
And as we are not affiliated to any wine merchants or retailers we offer unbiased and independent advice on your wine needs. The wine course for everyone!
West London wine tastings and wine courses are run in 'The Wine Cellars' at the Big Yellow storage company in Fulham, London. Evening courses start at 7pm and last for 2 hours. Our WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) courses are day courses starting at 11am and last for 4 to 5 hours.
There is ample security parking on-site (For SatNav use SW6 2ST) but to enjoy the tastings fully we recommend the following excellent transport links:
London Overground operates the closest station, Imperial Wharf, at 5 minutes walk away
Wandsworth Town (South West Trains) at 10 minutes walk away
Fulham Broadway is the closest underground station at 12 minutes walk away
Two bus routes (391 Richmond to Sands End and C3 Earl's Court to Clapham Junction) run along the building with a number of other routes on Wandsworth Bridge Road (295, 28 and 424) only 2 minutes walk away
All our courses are run by Jimmy Smith, a leading wine tutor in London who has educated over 650 students through the professional wine certificates in the past two years. Jimmy is passionate about the delivery of wine and spirits in a fun and informal manner, leading by practical tasting rather than in depth knowledge.
