Founded in 1930 by Leslie Jay, trading as Leslie S Jay Opticians, the company was originally sited in Rye Lane, Peckham, London UK.
Since 1976 the company has been headed by his son Brian Jay, operating under the name of Jay Opticians and based in PeckhamÂs Aylesham Centre.
